Ripple joins Louisville

Louisville Athletics announced a multi-year partnership with Ripple, the blockchain finance company behind new XRP branding for Cardinals basketball.
XRP hits the court
The XRP logo will appear on Denny Crum Court at the KFC Yum! Center. The existing Denny Crum Court logo will stay inside the 3-point arc.
“XRP is the cryptocurrency that will be the featured logo on Denny Crum Court”
Why XRP matters
XRP is pitched as a faster, cheaper way to move money worldwide. The piece notes that transactions settle in 3 to 5 seconds and XRP ranks among the top five cryptocurrencies.
Terms stay private
Louisville did not release the value of the deal. Ripple has already made splashy college sports buys at Florida football and Kansas basketball.
Ripple wants college fans
The deal fits Ripple’s push into college athletics, where trusted brands, packed arenas, and national TV windows can put XRP in front of loyal fan bases.
Education is included
Ripple will also support finance and technology education for Louisville athletes and the campus community, covering both traditional finance and digital assets.
Louisville sees brand value
Athletic director Josh Heird framed the deal as proof of Louisville basketball’s reach and tradition, while saying it still honors Denny Crum’s legacy.
“Ripple was very intentional about aligning with premier basketball brands”
Learfield sells the stage
Kim Damron of Learfield said Louisville gives brand partners a way to reach fans locally and nationally, making the Cardinals a strong platform for XRP.
“Louisville is among the most respected programs in college basketball”
Season starts soon
Fans will see Louisville men’s basketball back at the KFC Yum! Center for an Oct. 28 exhibition against Mercyhurst, then the Nov. 2 regular season opener.
The essence
Louisville’s Ripple deal puts a major crypto brand on its basketball court while tying the partnership to athlete education.
