A call at 10.33pm

Police received a report on Saturday night about a girl found on the ground at an apartment in Precinct 5, Putrajaya.

Pronounced dead at the scene

A medical officer from Putrajaya Hospital confirmed the 15-year-old's death where she lay. There was no transfer to hospital.

Believed to have fallen

Putrajaya district police chief ACP Aidi Sham Mohamed said preliminary checks found her lying down, believed to have fallen from a high place.

“The 15-year-old girl was found lying down, believed to have fallen from a high place.”

She lived on the ninth floor

The victim shared a ninth-floor unit in that same building with her family. Police have not said which floor she fell from.

“The victim lived with her family on the ninth floor of the apartment.”

Classified as sudden death

That classification is a holding category, not a conclusion. It keeps the file open while investigators work out what happened.

An autopsy the same day

A post-mortem was scheduled for Sunday. Until it reports, police say the cause of the incident remains under investigation.

“The cause of the incident is still under investigation.”

The essence

Police have confirmed only what they can see: a girl fell, she died, and the cause is still unknown pending an autopsy.
