Zero tolerance for fraud syndicates
The Home Ministry is dismantling syndicates that manipulate the foreign worker system and forge documents. The Immigration Department is now acting aggressively, not defensively.
“The KDN leadership is determined to dismantle this chain of fraud at the root without any tolerance.”
Ops Serkap raids 11 premises
On September 14, immigration officers simultaneously raided 11 locations in Kuala Lumpur's Jalan Chan Sow Lin commercial area in a coordinated enforcement operation.
30 foreign nationals arrested
The operation detained 30 people, including 11 suspected masterminds from Bangladesh who were operating the premises. Nineteen others were held for immigration offences.
Fake documents seized in raid
Officers confiscated 18 laptops, 21 printers and scanners, three phones, 10 passports, and printed copies of fake employment passes and police reports.
Syndicates sold fake passes for RM150
The criminal networks were selling fake electronic Temporary Employment Visit Passes for RM150 each and fake police reports for RM70 each.
Threat to public safety identified
The syndicates' activities undermine immigration administration and pose a threat to public safety by creating opportunities for illegal entry by foreigners.
Protecting local job market
The Madani Government is committed to tightening controls at entry points and protecting the local job market from exploitation by illegal syndicates.
“Malaysia is not a playground for criminals.”
The bottom line
Malaysia's Home Ministry is shifting from defensive to aggressive enforcement, raiding syndicate operations and arresting masterminds to protect national security and the local job market.
