A man died after his Perodua Alza MPV collided with a Volvo trailer lorry near Sungai Tong in Terengganu last night.
Victim Identified
Police identified the victim as 44-year-old Mohd Assfarizal Salim from Taman Balok Pelangi, Kuantan, Pahang.
Time of Incident
The accident occurred around 11.30pm when the Perodua Alza lost control and entered the opposite lane.
Driver's Condition
The driver was trapped in the vehicle, extricated by firefighters, and died at Setiu Hospital after 4.10am.
Lorry Driver Unharmed
The lorry driver, traveling from Jertih to Kuantan, remained uninjured in the collision.
Investigation Underway
Police are investigating the case under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 and seeking witnesses.
