Sanusi questions DAP resignation offer

PAS election director Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor criticized DAP for 'firecracker politics' after Anthony Loke offered Cabinet resignation over Najib's conditional royal pardon.

“Nga said the same thing before. He didn’t resign either. They act as if they’re going to take action, but nothing gets done. It’s firecracker politics. Lots of noise, then silence.”

Anthony Loke offered to resign as Transport Minister after DAP central executive committee meeting, while other ministers remained in unity government.

DAP's flip-flop politics

Sanusi accused DAP of changing position after previously pledging resignations over Najib's release but not following through.

“DAP plays flip-flop politics. Next, they’ll find an excuse not to resign. Before this, they said they wanted to leave the government. Then they found an excuse not to.”

Najib's conditional pardon

Najib was granted conditional royal pardon to serve remainder of sentence under house arrest until August 23, 2028, subject to RM50 million fine.

DAP's stance on pardon

DAP respected Yang di-Pertuan Agong's constitutional authority but felt conditional pardon difficult for Malaysians to accept.

Unity government commitment

DAP pledged continued support for Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim's unity government despite Najib's house arrest.
