Rays debut new road grays
The Rays revealed Monday they'll wear new road uniforms starting Tuesday at Yankee Stadium. The gray jerseys mark the first time since 2022 the team has worn grays on the road.
Tampa Bay takes center stage

For the first time in nearly 20 years, the Rays will feature "Tampa Bay" across the chest of their primary road jerseys. The new ownership group made this a priority to show commitment to the region.
“Tampa Bay is always in our hearts and that's why we will wear it across our chest.”
Ownership's commitment to Tampa
The new ownership group views the uniform change as part of their broader effort to secure the Rays' long-term future in Tampa Bay, including plans for a new "Forever Home" ballpark in the city.
“These uniforms celebrate our long-term commitment to Tampa Bay.”
Modern take on Devil Rays era

The new grays are a modern update of uniforms the Devil Rays originally wore from 1998 to 2000. A gradient on the front mirrors the color scheme of the Devil Rays' original home uniforms.
Fans helped pick the design

The Rays polled fans on social media in March, asking for preferences on four different designs. Fans ultimately selected the jersey the team chose to wear.
“We are particularly proud that our fans helped choose this design.”
Big debut at Yankee Stadium
The new uniforms will first be worn Tuesday night in Game 2 of a doubleheader at Yankee Stadium, where the Rays have a chance to clinch their first AL East title since 2021.
