Elon Musk Announces Grok Bot Models

Elon Musk says SpaceX's AI agent Grok Bot will use Suno's AI music models alongside Anthropic's Claude Opus 5.5 and Midjourney.

“Important note regarding Grok @Bot: Going forward, @SpaceX will use the best back end model for any given task, including Claude Opus 5.5, MidJourney, Suno and other leading APIs. Whatever is most likely to give you the best outcome.”

Grok Bot Launches in Beta

Grok Bot launched in beta in August and is developed by SpaceXAI, Musk's 2023 AI company acquired by SpaceX in February and renamed to SpaceXSI in July.

Suno's Music API Plans

Suno, which has 2 million subscribers and $300 million revenue, is exploring a developer API for music applications but has no timeline for launch.

Suno's Legal Challenges

Universal Music Group and Sony Music filed a copyright lawsuit against Suno in Boston federal court, accusing it of copying 60,202 recordings without license.

Anthropic Faces Music Lawsuits

Anthropic is sued by Concord Music Group, Universal Music Publishing Group, and ABKCO over copyright infringement on more than 20,000 songs.

Suno's Recent Deals

Suno signed licensing deals with BMG and Believe and launched its v6 models on September 9, retiring older versions the same day.
