Hegseth said the execution would be carried out at one pm on December third at Fort Hood, the same day of the week and time of day as Hasan's attack.

Hasan was convicted of premeditated murder in two thousand thirteen through the Army court system and sentenced to death. He was paralyzed from the waist down after being shot during the attack.
