Central hallway design
The hallway feels warm despite its large size through subtle visual artistry in floor patterns and varied cladding materials.
Client needs for family home
Entrepreneurs with two university-age kids wanted a kitchen for entertaining and ample space for guests.
Design philosophy
Cinnamon emphasized curves, texture and contrast to soften the home’s straight lines and big volumes.
Secluded location
The home is set in a wooded area with trees screening neighboring houses for a country feel.
Rear view and landscape
Full-height windows overlook rolling hills, horse pastures and a distant golf course.
Modern lighting solution
A magnetic strip allows wireless pot lights to be placed anywhere along its perimeter.
Foyer and ceiling contrast
The foyer has a 24-foot ceiling, while the central hallway drops to 12 feet for a warm feel.
