Dad arrested for pushing NYC mother and baby

Angel Carrasco, 31, was taken into custody by the US Marshals Service Wednesday evening after allegedly pushing his estranged girlfriend and their 8-month-old daughter off a 15th-floor Bronx apartment balcony.

Alleged push on Tuesday early morning

Carrasco allegedly shoved Nathaly Ramirez, 23, to her death while she clutched their infant, Angel Novalty Carrasco-Ramirez, in the early hours of Tuesday.

Officers discovered the mother and baby girl on the ground with injuries consistent with a fall from an elevated position, the NYPD said.

Mother dies, baby in critical condition

Ramirez was pronounced dead at Jacobi Hospital, where her baby daughter remains in critical condition.
