The Chargers wrecked Week 1 pools. Here is every Week 2 game ranked, from the safest pick to a coin flip.

In brief

The Chargers wrecked Week 1 pools. Here is every Week 2 game ranked, from the safest pick to a coin flip. Put your most points on the 49ers, Eagles and Buccaneers, and give your fewest to toss-ups like Bills over Lions and Jets over Packers. Originally reported by New York Post.

Week 1 burned a lot of pools

The Chargers were the biggest favorite on the slate and played a sloppy game full of mistakes. That cost a full 16 points, and the picks finished last week at 9 and 7, with 79 of 136 points.

“Raise your hand if the Chargers burned you in Week 1.”

49ers are the top lock

San Francisco is worth all 16 points. The 49ers were excellent on offense and defense against the Rams, and the Dolphins look broke by comparison.

Tennessee made the Jets look good. The Jets outgained the Titans 367 yards to 195 and had 19 first downs to their 11. Jalen Hurts should build on a solid opener, so the Eagles get 15 points.

Mayfield gets a soft landing

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield (6) drops back to throw in the first quarter of the NFL Week 1 game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Tampa

Baker Mayfield had trouble holding onto the ball in Cincinnati, but most of those mistakes were his team's own doing. Next up is a Browns defense that let Trevor Lawrence throw four touchdowns with only five incompletions.

Stars carry the middle tier

The Ravens get 13 points because Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry should be too much for the Saints. Caleb Williams just led the Bears to 59 points, and Patrick Mahomes looked like his old self for the Chiefs.

“What knee surgery?”

The market still doubts Bryce Young

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA - SEPTEMBER 13: Bryce Young #9 of the Carolina Panthers passes the ball against the Chicago Bears during the first quarter of the game

Young threw for 361 yards and had four total touchdowns, and bettors still don't believe in Carolina. The Falcons start Cooper Rush, who lost 0.493 expected points per play (EPA) last week.

Save your lowest points for coin flips

Bills over Lions gets 3 points, since both teams play close games. Bengals over Texans comes down to Joe Burrow beating C.J. Stroud. The Jets get just 1 point against a Packers team that just gave up 29 straight points.

“Give me Josh Allen.”

The short version

Put your most points on the 49ers, Eagles and Buccaneers, and give your fewest to toss-ups like Bills over Lions and Jets over Packers.
