Packers bet $92M on a healing knee
Tucker Kraft went from a November ACL tear to one of the richest tight end deals in football.
In brief
Tucker Kraft went from a November ACL tear to one of the richest tight end deals in football. Green Bay paid Kraft top-three tight end money before seeing him play a single healthy snap since the injury. Originally reported by New York Post.
A huge deal after surgery

Green Bay gave fourth-year tight end Tucker Kraft a four-year, $75 million extension worth up to $92 million, with a $26.5 million signing bonus.
The knee that stopped him

Kraft, a third-round pick in 2023, tore his right ACL on Nov. 2 while blocking on a running play in a Week 9 loss to Carolina. He missed the rest of 2025.
Half a season, six scores
In eight games he still put up 32 catches for 489 yards and six touchdowns, a year after taking over as Green Bay's starter.
Back for the opener
He is expected to play Sunday against the Vikings, but on a limited snap count while the staff manages his rep range into midseason.
“They're going to take into account my rep range probably until halfway through the season”
He wants the full load

Kraft talks about getting back to the 50-60 snap games, and the 85 he played against Dallas in overtime, taking on every role the offense asks of him.
“all the hats I can wear on the offense, I want to bring everything to the table”
Third-richest at the position
At $18.75 million a year, only George Kittle ($19.1M) and Trey McBride ($19M) earn more. Kraft collects $31.5 million in Year 1.
The main idea
Green Bay paid Kraft top-three tight end money before seeing him play a single healthy snap since the injury.
