In brief
Texas coughed up two early drives against Ohio State, then watched its star quarterback get worked on by trainers. Manning walked off the injury and got Texas on the board, but the hits he absorbed are the thing to watch the rest of the season. Originally reported by Newsweek.
A flat start at home

No. 4 Texas opened against No. 1 Ohio State in Austin and gave the ball away on its first two drives.
The pick that wasn't his
Manning's interception came off Cam Coleman's hands. The receiver dropped it, the ball bounced up, and Buckeyes safety Jaylen McClain collected it.
Ohio State cashed in
Two turnovers turned into a 10-0 Buckeyes lead in the first quarter before Texas found any rhythm.
Trainers on the right wrist

Manning appeared to hurt his wrist in the first half. Texas staff worked on it, he picked up a ball, threw, and went back out.
“ESPN reports that the Texas training staff has been working on Arch Manning's right wrist.”
He answered with points
Back in the game, Manning drove Texas into range for a field goal with under six minutes left in the second quarter, the Longhorns' first score.
A revenge game he wanted
Ohio State beat Texas 14-7 last season and Manning said the film is hard to watch. He took two sacks in the first half of the rematch.
“It's not all the time you get a second chance to play another team after a rough loss.”
The headline
Manning walked off the injury and got Texas on the board, but the hits he absorbed are the thing to watch the rest of the season.
