Roxanne Perez goes to AAA alone for her first title
Judgment Day's only beltless member walked into Triplemania 34 without her stablemates, and she says that was the point.
In brief
Judgment Day's only beltless member walked into Triplemania 34 without her stablemates, and she says that was the point. When every title in your lane is taken by your own friends, the move is to go win one somewhere else. Originally reported by OutKick.
The one without gold
Roxanne Perez is the only woman in The Judgment Day with no championship to her name. That could change by the end of the month.
A four-way for a title shot
On Night 1 of Triplemania 34 in Las Vegas, Perez faces La Hiedra, Faby Apache and Nattie. The winner gets a shot at the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship at Worlds Collide.
No Liv, no Raquel
Judgment Day usually swarms ringside for each other on Raw. For this one, Morgan and Rodriguez were nowhere in sight.
“I think they know that I got this.”
Her friends took the belts
Perez says there is no main roster title open to chase because her own stablemates hold them. So she went looking elsewhere.
“'The Prodigy' doesn't stay complacent. 'The Prodigy' doesn't stay comfortable.”
The invite she had to refuse
AAA invited her to train and work its shows when she was 16. Her parents were not on board, so it did not happen.
Nobody's permission needed
AAA is now part of WWE, and Perez is back at 24 on her own terms. She frames the debut as representing her Mexican and Puerto Rican roots.
“I'm taking my opportunity and I'm not asking for permission from anybody.”
Three legends in her way
She calls La Hiedra the one who knows AAA inside out, Natalya a trailblazer who opened doors for women, and Faby Apache a Lucha Libre great.
“I am not underestimating every woman that is in this match.”
Where to watch
Night 1 starts at 10 p.m. ET at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. Night 2 is Sunday at Arena CDMX in Mexico City. Both stream on YouTube.
Here's the gist
