Double duty in Vegas

At Triplemania 34, Dominik worked Night 1 in Omos' corner as the 7-foot-3 giant beat Rey Mysterio, then defended his title on Night 2 against El Grande Americano.

The heat follows him

He has become one of the biggest acts in wrestling on either roster. Raw and SmackDown have used him less lately, but AAA crowds react to him the second he walks out.

A different Dom

Corey Graves, calling Triplemania, says AAA shows a version fans do not get on WWE TV.

“You're seeing Dom with a little more freedom to be how he wants to be as opposed to how others perceive him to be”

AAA as a reset button

Graves points to talent who came down for a short run and reinvented themselves. He thinks AAA is where the real Dominik is finally showing up at full scale.

“We've had quite a few superstars come down for a cup of coffee or a few-month run and really reinvigorate themselves”

The Judgment Day problem

His WWE story keeps pulling him back into the faction. Graves frames that as the cost of telling one story for years.

“You tell a story for so long, it's hard to put the genie back in the bottle.”

It will reach Raw eventually

Graves expects the AAA version to surface on WWE programming in time, calling Dominik a savant who grew up in the business.

“On a long enough timeline, you're going to see AAA 'Dirty Dom' on Raw, on SmackDown because the guy's the complete package”
