Claude's scattered tools are getting unified
Anthropic's Claude currently splits Cowork, Chat, and Design across different locations, confusing users about which tool to use. An upcoming update will merge everything into one interface.
Claude will pick the right tool for you
The new Claude automatically determines what your task needs and makes Cowork and Design available from any conversation, keeping your context and skills intact.
“Claude can now figure out what a task needs, so what Cowork and Design can do is available from any conversation, with the context, skills, and connectors you already have.”
New creative tools are coming

Beyond Design, Claude is adding Docs for text documents and Slides for presentations. Claude drafts each slide automatically, and you can present directly from the app or export as PDF or PowerPoint.
Everything lives under one Output button
Design, Docs, Slides, and Artifacts will all be accessible through a new Output button below the prompt box, giving you quick access to all creative features.
Pro users get it first
The update rolls out to Pro and Max subscribers in the coming weeks across desktop, mobile, and web. Free users will get access later, with Team and Enterprise timelines still unclear.
The essence
Claude will soon automatically determine which tool you need, eliminating confusion from having Cowork, Chat, and Design scattered across different places.
