WiCi launches wireless eGPU
California-based tech firm WiCi has a new wireless external GPU and enclosure that lets any Wi-Fi-connected laptop play games using an integrated Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti 16GB.
“WiCi's promo video at least showcases what the technology can manage”
Wi-Fi 7 eGPU connects wirelessly
WiCi's eGPU connects over Wi-Fi 7 with no wires other than the power cable required.
“That may be why WiCi isn't launching out of the gate with an RTX 5090 solution”
Wi-Fi 7 performance limits
Wi-Fi 7 has a theoretical maximum bandwidth of 48Gbps but in practice may deliver less than 12Gbps with WiCi's 4x4 radio configuration.
“VideoCardz points out that with the WiCi's 4x4 radio configuration, its available throughput may be limited to less than 12Gbps”
Gaming performance claims
WiCi claims it can render Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K Ultra with DLSS 4 at up to 80fps and Black Myth: Wukong at 60fps at 4K Cinematic with DLSS support.
“In its internal testing, WiCi claims this system can render Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K Ultra with DLSS 4 at up to 80fps”
Wireless range challenges
The further you are from the WiCi eGPU system, the worse the bandwidth and latency, with furniture, walls, or other Wi-Fi signals increasing interference.

WiCi One pricing
WiCi One is available for $2,000 to reserve with RTX 5060 Ti; retail price will be $2,600 with the RTX 5060 Ti.
“The WiCi One isn't on sale yet, but you can register to reserve one for $2,000”
WiCi's primary use case
WiCi's original intended use is likely a dedicated AI inferencing device for home devices with local AI capabilities.
“While this is a fun potential use of the technology and will undoubtedly become more viable as wireless bandwidth and latency continue to improve”
The bottom line
WiCi's wireless eGPU connects Wi-Fi 7 PCs to an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB GPU for gaming without cables.
