Passkey Availability
As of October 2026, passkeys are now available for Starlink subscribers through a new support page.
Passkey Security

Passkeys use a private cryptographic key stored on your device, proving identity without sending passwords.
Passkey Setup
Completing passkey authentication requires a PIN, fingerprint, facial scan, or hardware security key to prove identity.
Passkey Optional
Passkeys are optional; users can keep using passwords and set up passkeys without replacing existing passwords.
Security Benefits
Starlink does not see fingerprints, faces, or device PINs; those stay on the user's device for security.
Traditional Passwords Still Work
The conventional password system remains, allowing hackers to break into accounts through traditional login methods.
