Polanski claims credit for Burnham
Green leader Zack Polanski has claimed his party forced Andy Burnham into No. 10. He now seeks to convince voters the Greens can push Labour further left on key issues.
Polanski fights for Starmer's seat
In his second speech as Green leader, Polanski is fighting to win Keir Starmer's recently vacated Westminster seat in Holborn and St Pancras, less than a week after his speech.
Vote Green, watch Labour move

Polanski positioned his party as a corrective to Labour, not a spoiler. His message: the Greens change government between elections through sustained pressure and historic wins.
“Vote Green, and watch Labour move. Between general elections, we change the government.”
Burnham promises what Greens demanded
Labour's washout in May's local elections accelerated Starmer's exit. Burnham has since promised public ownership, care and housing, things the Greens had made their sole purview.
Greens still differ on Gaza and climate
Hackney Mayor Zoë Garbett, elected in May, said there were still key differences with Labour on Gaza, climate and rent control, but conceded Burnham had made the Green message harder to sell.
Polanski attacks Burnham on climate
Polanski went hard on rent caps, Palestine Action proscription and new oil drilling at Rosebank and Jackdaw. He said the Greens stick to climate science while Burnham barely whispers the word.
“While they play politics with our planet, we stick to the science. While Andy Burnham barely whispers the word climate, we seek urgent action.”
Greens face choice on future strategy
Pollster Luke Tryl warned the Greens must decide whether to be a pressure group pushing Labour left or beat them outright. A timid budget could offer the Greens a chance to claw back support.
The short version
Green leader Zack Polanski claims his party forced Labour leftward and now seeks to define where to push the new Burnham government next, as he fights for Keir Starmer's old Westminster seat.
