Opposition leader demands navy deployment
Alberto Núñez Feijóo, leader of Spain's conservative People's Party, called Friday for the navy to be sent to Ceuta following unconfirmed reports of a Moroccan patrol boat in the exclave's waters Thursday.
“Spain is not for sale. Spain defends itself.”
Feijóo's four-point response plan
Feijóo demanded the navy be deployed to the area, the Moroccan ambassador summoned, Spain's ambassador in Rabat recalled for consultations, and explanations demanded from Moroccan authorities.
“Morocco's repeated incursions into Spanish waters are not isolated incidents, but rather a pattern of aggression that demands a firm response.”
Tensions escalate over Ceuta crisis

Feijóo's calls follow more than seventy thousand migrants arriving in Ceuta in late July and unconfirmed reports of Moroccan warships entering Spanish waters.
King Felipe VI reaffirms Spanish sovereignty
In a landmark visit to the exclaves this week, King Felipe VI said Ceuta and Melilla were an inalienable part of Spain and that sovereignty and territorial integrity are not negotiable.
“The sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country are not negotiable.”
