Witkoff to propose three-way summit
US special envoy Steve Witkoff will offer Vladimir Putin direct talks with President Donald Trump and Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelenskyy to secure a ceasefire.
First leaders' summit since 2022 invasion
The proposal for three-way negotiations on peace terms was announced Tuesday after talks in Oslo between Zelenskyy and Witkoff, hosted by Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.
Witkoff travels to Russia Wednesday
Witkoff will fly to St. Petersburg to meet Russian leadership and present peace proposals. Zelenskyy said any settlement requires genuine security guarantees and Ukraine's involvement in designing it.
