Nine year marriage ends

Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski confirmed they're splitting after nine years of marriage. They told People they've been separated for a while.
“We have been separated for a while, and it's proven to be the right move for us and our family unit.”
Still connected as family

The couple emphasized their ongoing bond in their statement. They said they've got each other forever and it's good.
“We've got each other forever, and it's GOOD.”
They eloped in 2017

Sadoski revealed on James Corden's show that they eloped with just an officiant. The two actors met in 2015 while starring in an off-Broadway play together.
“We just took off into the country with an officiant and just the two of us, and we did our thing.”
Balancing work and two kids
Seyfried admitted last November it was really hard juggling her career with raising their two children, Nina and Thomas. She said she was working more than ever with two kids.
“This is the most I've ever worked with two kids, and I've never had two movies come out at the same time.”
He sacrificed for her career

In January, Seyfried acknowledged Sadoski sacrifices a lot for her. She noted the opportunities being offered to her were insane.
“He also knows that, in this moment, the opportunities I'm being afforded are insane.”
