Vintage hunting on Lancaster Ave

Phila Flea Markets sets up an outdoor vintage and antique market near Drexel University on Saturday, Sept. 26. Shoppers come for clothing, furniture and collectibles.
Free, and all day
The market runs 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 3400 Lancaster Ave. in University City. Admission costs nothing, so you can drop in for ten minutes or stay for hours.
Rain has a backup plan
If Saturday washes out, the market moves to Sunday, Sept. 27. Worth noting before you write off a gray forecast.
Closets and living rooms

Vendors bring vintage clothing, hats, handbags and accessories, plus antique furniture, artwork, pottery, jewelry and home decor.
“Vendors will sell vintage clothing, hats, handbags and accessories, along with antique furniture, artwork, pottery, jewelry and home décor.”
Crates, cartridges and comics
Dig for vinyl records, comic books, toys and retro video games. Glassware, porcelain and cookware round out the tables.
One stop on a tour
The Drexel date belongs to a traveling series that moves vintage and antique markets through Philly neighborhoods from spring into fall.
Running since 1985
The organizer, also known as the Philly Flea, has been putting on markets in Philadelphia for four decades. Not a pop-up experiment.
Open to everyone
Organizers say all of their markets are accessible to people with disabilities. Details are available through Phila Flea Markets directly.
