Eagles head to Nashville as touchdown favorites
A 1-0 Eagles team with obvious flaws meets a Titans squad that just got run over by the Jets.
In brief
A 1-0 Eagles team with obvious flaws meets a Titans squad that just got run over by the Jets. Philly is favored by a touchdown in Week 2, but the Week 1 offensive line and tackling problems are still unsolved. Originally reported by PhillyVoice.
Birds open as big road favorites

The Eagles travel to Nashville in Week 2 as a seven-point favorite over Tennessee. Two teams in very different places, and the books are not being subtle about it.
“Every sportsbook likes the Eagles for this week, and by as much as a touchdown.”
One team is 1-0
Philadelphia opened the season with a win over the Commanders. It was far from a clean performance, but it counted the same in the standings.
The other is a mess
Tennessee sits at 0-1 after getting trounced by a Jets team nobody expected to compete. Not the start Robert Saleh wanted in year two as a head coach.
The spread is unanimous
DraftKings, FanDuel, BetRivers, BetMGM and Caesars all landed on Philadelphia -7.0. No book is offering a different number as of Monday, Sep. 14.
Money lines tell the same story
Philly runs from -310 at DraftKings to -375 at BetRivers. Tennessee sits between +250 and +280 depending on where you look.
Nobody expects points
The over/under is set at 39.5 at four of the five books, with DraftKings a touch higher at 40.5. That is a low total for a team favored by a touchdown.
Week 1 was a grind
The Eagles beat Washington 24-22, close enough to sweat. A win that came down to the final possession is not the kind of opener anyone wants.
“It wasn't pretty, but it was enough.”
The line is a problem
Protection broke down all game and Landon Dickerson has since landed on IR. Saquon Barkley ran into walls and Hurts worked out of pockets that collapsed fast.
Sloppy tackling on defense
A Vic Fangio unit missing tackles is out of character, and it helped drag a comfortable game back to the wire. Defense and special teams still kept the Birds ahead most of the way.
Hurts and Ojomo closed it

Jalen Hurts made the plays when they mattered most, and Moro Ojomo stuffed a late Washington 2-point try to seal the win.
The Jets ran Tennessee over
Breece Hall piled up 102 yards and a touchdown, Geno Smith threw for 215 without taking a sack, and New York led 20-3 by the end of the third quarter.
Cam Ward could not answer
The former first overall pick went 19-for-32 for 140 yards and took three sacks, with a garbage-time touchdown as his only bright spot. Saleh said he was surprised by how badly his team got handled.
“Robert Saleh says he was surprised by the way the Titans were handled in all three phases”
What to remember
Philly is favored by a touchdown in Week 2, but the Week 1 offensive line and tackling problems are still unsolved.
