Man shoots at delivery driver over late order
Keilan Marshal McKeever, 33, fired a loaded 9mm at a DoorDash driver on March 22, 2025, because his cheesesteak delivery was delayed. The bullet pierced the car's rear window, showering the 19-year-old driver with glass and metal fragments.
“I'll shoot you right now”
The driver was just 19 years old
Khalik Lewis, a college student working as a DoorDash driver, was confronted by McKeever at his door. When Lewis tried to leave, McKeever followed him to his car and fired the shot.
The bullet nearly hit the driver
The 9mm bullet penetrated the rear window and lodged in Lewis's sweatshirt hood. Debris and metal fragments were found in his hair, but he escaped without physical injury.
Security footage captured the threat
Court video showed McKeever shouting at Lewis and saying 'I'll shoot you right now' before following him to his car. Investigators matched the bullet to an H&K 9mm handgun found at McKeever's home.
McKeever pleaded guilty in June
He admitted to aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct, and related charges. The guilty plea came three months after the March 2025 incident.
Sentenced to 4 to 10 years in prison
A judge sentenced McKeever on Tuesday to between four and ten years in prison for the shooting. He was also ordered to pay $2,288 in restitution to Lewis and undergo a mental health evaluation.
DA warns against violent behavior
Bucks County District Attorney Joe Khan said the sentence sends a clear message that violent, reckless behavior with firearms will not be tolerated. He emphasized that delivery workers deserve safety while doing their jobs.
“No one working in our community should ever have to fear for their life while trying to earn an honest living.”
