Labour says its school lunches would be made on-site for 244,400 students in 1014 schools starting Term 1 2028.
Lunch pricing and providers
Lunches cost $5 per meal for students, $6.50 for years 9 to 13, made in school kitchens by iwi and hapū partners or local caterers.
Funding and expansion
Labour will fund the programme at $146.2m for 2027/28, $295.4m for 2028/29, and $149.2m for 2029/30.
