AWOL Vision's LuxVision Puts 4K on Your Wall From Half a Foot Away

In brief
A new ultra-short-throw projector that throws a giant 4K picture from inches off the wall, no room rearranging required. If wall space is the constraint, an ultra-short-throw projector like the LuxVision gets you a big 4K image without the throw distance a normal projector demands. Originally reported by Robb Report.
A TV without the wall
If you want a big screen but not a big black rectangle mounted in your living room, AWOL Vision is pitching an alternative.
“In the market for a TV that won't take up too much wall space?”
Meet the LuxVision
AWOL Vision just unveiled its newest ultra-short-throw projector, first reported by New Atlas.
Half a foot is enough
The LuxVision throws a giant 4K picture from roughly six inches away, so it sits on a console instead of hanging from the ceiling.
“can project a giant 4K image with a high refresh from around a half foot away”
High refresh, not just pixels
It pairs the 4K resolution with a high refresh rate, the spec that matters if you plan to put sports or games on that wall.
Optical shift is the rare part
A built-in optical shift function lets you nudge the image into position without shoving the whole projector around.
“a rare optical shift function that allows you to adjust image positioning without much fuss”
Built to be looked at
Minimal shape, aluminum casing, wood trim. It is designed to sit out in the room rather than hide in it.
The headline
If wall space is the constraint, an ultra-short-throw projector like the LuxVision gets you a big 4K image without the throw distance a normal projector demands.
