In brief
A codenamed P34 coupe with a twin-turbo V-6 hybrid would outmuscle the brand's wildest 720S yet. McLaren's next coupe, P34, slots between the Artura and 750S with 810 hp and an in-house hybrid V-6, due next year at around $315,000. Originally reported by Robb Report.
McLaren is changing gear

Fresh off its first new model in nearly two years, McLaren is building a brand-new hybrid coupe that could go on sale as soon as next year, according to Automotive News.
“McLaren is ready to usher in an era of change.”
Meet P34
The car is codenamed P34 and will sit between the Artura and the 750S. Dealers who saw a preview say it is longer than the current entry-level car, with a wedge-shaped nose that nods to the F1.
810 hp, built in-house

A mid-mounted twin-turbo V-6 pairs with electric assistance, developed entirely by McLaren. The claimed output is 810 hp and 800 ft lbs of torque.
More muscle than the 788HS

The just-revealed 788HS, the final evolution of the 720S, makes 777 hp and 590 ft lbs. P34 would beat it on both counts, and by a wide margin on torque.
The price of entry

P34 is expected to debut next year and start around $315,000 before import and related fees. McLaren declined to comment on any of it.

A bigger plan through 2028
Now fully owned by Abu Dhabi's CYVN Holdings, McLaren has several reveals coming, including a first four-door utility vehicle and the McL 6GT concept, previewing its first manual since the F1.
The takeaway
McLaren's next coupe, P34, slots between the Artura and 750S with 810 hp and an in-house hybrid V-6, due next year at around $315,000.
