Beach Boys Tour Pause
The Beach Boys paused their Pet Sounds 60th anniversary tour after Mike Love's health issues forced over 30 dates to be postponed.
September Shows Cancelled
They cancelled four shows including Oct. 9 in Bloomington, Illinois, without explanation one day before resuming.
Health Concerns
Mike Love appeared gaunt with a diminished singing voice, described as 'sallow and enfeebled' in a May review.
“Love looked sallow and enfeebled; legs stiff, arms flat by his side. When he opened his mouth to sing, his once resonant tenor was reduced to a whisper, all warbled, strange, and barely there, decimated by the encumbering decades”
Tour Resumes
The tour resumed June 14 in Chelsea, England, and continued through July 18 in Valdosta, Georgia.
September Return
They plan to resume shows on Oct. 9 at Grossinger Motors Arena in Bloomington, Illinois after a recharge period.
