Elijah Blue Allman, 50, has been indicted on a felony criminal mischief charge after allegedly breaking into a woman's home in Windham, New Hampshire in March and smoking a cigarette on her couch.

The March incident details

Police found Allman seated on the couch smoking when they responded to a burglary report. The homeowner was hiding in a closet and had not given him permission to enter. Property damage exceeded $1,500.

Prior arrest days before

Two days before the home break-in, Allman was arrested at St. Paul's School in Concord for trespassing, criminal threatening, and simple assault after claiming to be a prospective parent and poking a student with his cane.

Allman has been held at a locked psychiatric hospital in New Hampshire since his March 1 arrest. He is due to be arraigned on October 2 in Rockingham Superior Court.

Cher renews conservatorship bid

Following the arrests, Cher filed a new petition in April seeking a court-ordered conservatorship over her son's finances, claiming he is gravely disabled and spiraling due to substance abuse and mental health deterioration.

“Elijah's situation has become dire on multiple fronts. His mental health has severely deteriorated, his financial situation is terrible, and his drug dependency is at its worst.”

Previous conservatorship fight

Cher previously sought conservatorship in 2023, but Allman vigorously opposed it. The two reached a private settlement in 2024 before these new arrests occurred.
