Heavyweight Clash Preview

Johnny Fisher and Michael Pirotton collide in a heavyweight clash at Copper Box Arena while Craig Richards against Radivoje Kalajdzic and Lee Cutler against Louis Greene look set to be all-action thrillers.

Chris Billam-Smith's Take

Chris Billam-Smith, former world champion, says Johnny Fisher is fit and strong with changes under new trainer Tony Sims, while Pirotton is negative and keeps it long.

“I did some sparring with Johnny, he's fit and strong as always. You can see that changes have been made under Tony [Sims, his new trainer]. From what I have seen of Pirotton, he's quite negative, he keeps it long. I expect Johnny to come through that.”

Michael Pirotton's Readiness

Michael Pirotton says he is ready for whatever Johnny Fisher brings ahead of their heavyweight clash at Copper Box Arena.

“Pirotton's never been put down, he's sparred with a lot of big-name fighters. I hope Johnny wins but I am concerned about this fight. Pirotton, his background pedigree is nothing to be sniffed at.”

“It's going to be a good fight, I can see Fisher pulling it off. I don't know if it'll be a knockout or a decision but I'm saying it'll be a good fight. I think it'll definitely be tough.”

Paul Ready's Prediction

Paul Ready, boxing manager, favors Johnny Fisher to stop him in the second half of the fight but says he will be tested early on.

“I think it will be interesting. I favour Johnny to maybe stop him in the second half of the fight. But I think there will definitely be some moments where Johnny will be tested. I think the start will be key for both. But I fancy Johnny Fisher by stoppage, in maybe eight or nine.”

Craig Richards vs Radivoje Kalajdzic

Craig Richards faces Radivoje Kalajdzic in a fight with Billam-Smith calling him a good fighter with a good jab but Kalajdzic carries power.

“Billam-Smith: I've done loads of rounds with Craig over the years. Good fighter, got a good jab, good timing but he's deceiving with it. Radivoje obviously carries power and can box a bit. It'll be an interesting one. I'd pick Craig to win that, probably on points.”

Lee Cutler vs Louis Greene

Lee Cutler faces Louis Greene in a fight with Billam-Smith saying Lee is adaptable but Greene will come forward.

“Billam-Smith: It's not an easy fight for Lee, by no stretch. You know what you're getting. Green is going to come forward. Lee's adaptable, he can box in different ways, he can box on the front foot, he can box on the back foot. It's down to the game plan. Stick to that and he can win.”
