Cutler targets world champion McKenna

Lee Cutler has already beaten Stevie McKenna and now wants to fight his brother Aaron McKenna, the new IBF middleweight world champion, to launch himself into the title picture.

Greene is next dangerous test

Cutler faces Louis Greene in a middleweight 10-rounder at the Copper Box Arena on Saturday, live on Sky Sports. Greene is a hard puncher with an aggressive fighting style.

Cutler calls it a stepping stone

Cutler calls it a stepping stone

Cutler told Sky Sports the Greene fight is dangerous but one he believes takes him to another level. He says both fighters are stepping stones for each other.

“It's one of those fights, we're a stepping stone for each other and that's how we've got to see each other.”

Stevie McKenna didn't call him out

Cutler was surprised Stevie McKenna didn't request a rematch after their 2024 fight. McKenna instead fought Owen O'Neill on the undercard of his brother Aaron's world title victory.

“I thought I was going to get a callout after.”

Cutler respects Aaron's abilities

Cutler acknowledges Aaron McKenna is very good and a tough fight for anyone, but says he sees himself fighting the world champion. He's focused on Greene first.

“I think he's very good. I think he's a tough fight for anyone. But he's somebody that I see myself in there with.”

Come forward fighters collide

Both Cutler and Greene are aggressive come forward fighters. Cutler warns that Greene is a huge puncher who can end fights with one touch, so he must stay switched on for all 10 rounds.

“All he has to do is touch somebody and then it's lights out.”

Cutler's recent form mixed

Cutler beat Stevie McKenna in 2024 but lost a technical decision to Sam Eggington. He bounced back by stopping Aaron Sutton in a Bournemouth homecoming before facing Greene.

The essence

Lee Cutler is positioning himself for a world title fight with Aaron McKenna by first defeating Louis Greene in a dangerous middleweight clash.
