TIME published its fourth annual Latino Leaders list, naming 13 U.S.-based people reshaping their industries. PepsiCo is the premier partner.
Four years of this
TIME has marked Hispanic Heritage Month with the list since 2023, covering entertainment, politics, business, sports, and science.
“Since 2023, TIME has marked Hispanic Heritage Month by highlighting influential Latinos in the U.S.”
A fifth of the country
Editors picked honorees to reflect the range of backgrounds inside a community that makes up 20% of the U.S. population and keeps growing in economic and cultural weight.
Heritage as the engine
The common thread: each honoree channeled their background into their work and rose because of it, with many focused on lifting other people along the way.
“Each has found a way to bring their heritage to their passion and reach new heights as a result.”
Who made the cut
Names include NBA champion Jose Alvarado, actor and singer Rachel Zegler, Kalshi co-founder Luana Lopes Lara, chef Nelson German, author Xochitl Gonzalez, and Julian Castro.
Miami, October 27
TIME hosts a cocktail reception for the honorees with remarks from Sofia Carson, Julian Castro, and PepsiCo's Athina Kanioura.
The one thing
The 2026 list is built around people who turned their heritage into their edge, and then pulled others up with them.
