A pet owner's apartment smelled like wet dog, prompting an intervention. Levoit launched its Vital Pet Pro Air Purifier to tackle the fur and dander that appear everywhere in pet-friendly homes.
Three-stage filtration system
The Vital Pet Pro costs one hundred eighty nine ninety nine dollars and uses a washable pre-filter to catch pet hair, a main filter for smaller particles and dander, and an activated carbon filter with one hundred forty grams of activated carbon to tackle odors.
U-shaped inlet design
The purifier features a U-shaped air inlet designed to capture airborne pet hair and particles while improving airflow and helping prevent the filter from becoming clogged.
Removes up to seventy percent of odors
Levoit says the Vital Pet Pro can remove up to seventy percent of odors within an hour. After testing for a little over a week, the difference was easy to notice and the room smelled considerably fresher.
Automatic cleaning and app modes
The purifier removes accumulated hair and debris from the pre-filter into a removable tray. The companion app offers Auto Plus Mode to monitor air quality in real time and Pet Mode, which runs the fan at highest speed for fifteen minutes then lower speed for sixty minutes.
Color-coded air quality display
Rather than showing a numerical reading, the Vital Pet Pro uses a simple color system. Red indicates bad air quality, orange means moderate, green means good, and cyan means very good.
Size and noise considerations
The Vital Pet Pro is larger than expected, so floor space matters. At its highest setting the fan is audible, but it quiets enough for overnight use. Sleep Mode makes it run even more quietly for light sleepers.
