Muse reaches 10 million users

Meta announced during its third-quarter earnings call on Wednesday that its AI app Muse has been adopted by more than 10 million users, confirming estimates from market intelligence firm Sensor Tower.
Daily usage drives retention
CEO Mark Zuckerberg said about 25 percent of people who set up Muse now use it daily, which is helping improve retention rates for the AI application.
Shopping spending surprises
Over a quarter of Muse's engaged users who were shopping via the AI agent had an average purchase size of over $200, which was surprising even to industry insiders.
Payment processor sees new activity

Zuckerberg said Plaid, the financial technology company that connects payment apps to bank accounts, told Meta they had not seen activity like this on any other service before.
“Plaid told us that they hadn't seen activity like they're seeing with their connector on any other service before.”
Productivity and privacy features
Beyond shopping, popular uses for Muse include personal productivity tasks like connecting to email or calendars. Muse Secure VM protects user data, and forthcoming Muse Confidential VM will prevent even Meta from seeing user content.
Revenue forecast exceeds apps
Zuckerberg said Meta forecasts Muse will eventually bring in more revenue per user than its family of apps users do today, currently around several hundreds of dollars annually.
Compute costs to drop tenfold
Meta expects to improve Muse's cost efficiency by more than 10x in the next year, enabling profitability once revenue scales.
Muse network connects users
Zuckerberg teased plans for a Muse network taking the service from single-player to multi-player, where users' Muses can work with friends' and families' Muses, and users can talk to businesses' agents directly.
The bottom line
Meta's AI shopping agent Muse reached over 10 million users with engaged shoppers averaging purchases over $200, prompting the company to scale the service and forecast higher revenue per user than Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp combined.
