Palmer streams unreleased game early
Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer livestreamed EA Sports FC 27 on Twitch on Tuesday afternoon, hours before an official EA Sports showcase was scheduled to happen.
He violated an embargo agreement
Palmer had been given early access to the game but was supposed to wait until after EA's official showcase that evening before streaming it publicly.
EA rep stopped the stream

An EA representative appeared in Palmer's chat to remind him of the embargo, the stream ended, and Twitch temporarily suspended his account.
Palmer joked about the ban
The midfielder posted on Instagram that he was 'only giving the people what they wanted' and asked Twitch to 'unban me pls' in a lighthearted response.
“I was only giving the people what they wanted.”
Palmer complained about his rating
During the stream, Palmer griped that EA Sports FC 27 gave him an overall score of 85, down two points from his previous rating of 87, blaming injuries from last season.
“I need a word with EA. They took two ratings off me.”
His account was reinstated

Palmer's Twitch account has since been restored and he's already back to streaming, bringing an end to the incident.
Game launches later this month
EA Sports FC 27 officially releases on September 25, with early access for pre-order customers starting September 18.
The bottom line
Even professional athletes can slip up on streaming rules, but platforms enforce embargoes quickly to protect game publishers' marketing plans.
