Poland's mini B-2 drone has a purpose
WB Group's Gladius 2 copies stealth bomber geometry to make a faster, harder-to-spot loitering munition.
In brief
WB Group's Gladius 2 copies stealth bomber geometry to make a faster, harder-to-spot loitering munition. Gladius 2 is less about looking like a tiny B-2 and more about pairing lower signatures, jet speed, and a 30 kg payload inside Poland's drone strike system. Originally reported by TechRadar.
A familiar silhouette
WB Group has revealed Gladius 2, a loitering munition with a flattened flying-wing body that resembles the B-2 Spirit bomber.
“flattened, wing-shaped body echoes the American B-2 Spirit bomber”
Shape has a job
The flying-wing form is meant to reduce radar and heat signatures. It borrows stealth logic because that geometry scatters radar better than boxy airframes.
“mainly to cut down on radar and heat signatures rather than for looks”
Jet powered strike
Unlike earlier electric Warmate versions, Gladius 2 uses a turbojet for a faster run to its target. It carries an interchangeable 30 kg warhead.
“A turbojet gives Gladius 2 a different propulsion approach”
Built into Gladius
The weapon is designed for WB Group's Gladius reconnaissance strike system, not just solo use. It can launch from a container or dedicated vehicle.
Scout then strike
Gladius links the FT-5 Los reconnaissance drone, strike munitions, and Topaz software. One operator can find a target, then send a separate weapon.
“locate an objective using the reconnaissance aircraft, then destroy it”
Poland is buying drones
The reveal comes as Poland pours money into domestic unmanned systems. In May 2026, it signed for 400-plus Warmate systems and nearly 200 FlyEye drones.
Specs still missing
WB Group has not confirmed whether Gladius 2 is in current contracts, or released range and test data. For now, its promise rests on design and payload.
“will remain unclear until WB Group releases actual test figures”
The short version
Gladius 2 is less about looking like a tiny B-2 and more about pairing lower signatures, jet speed, and a 30 kg payload inside Poland's drone strike system.
