Unitree Introducing: H2-X Kung Fu Legend Guardian - YouTube

Unitree, the world's biggest robotics manufacturer, has revealed the H2-X Kung Fu Legend Guardian. A one-minute video shows the robot punching and kneeing cars in a scrapyard.

The H2-X is being billed as a personal security guard that can jump in front of its owner during attempted robberies or lift cars to release humans trapped underneath.

Key specs: jumping and battery life

Unitree says the H2-X is capable of jumping from four-meter high platforms and standing for approximately eight hours between charges. Few other specifications have been revealed.

This is a tech demo, not a product

The H2-X video is more of a technology demonstration than a consumer product showcase, similar to Unitree's rollerblading and iceskating demos earlier this year.

Unitree is collaborating on next-gen robots

At Computex two thousand twenty-six, Unitree, Nvidia and Sharpa announced a collaboration to create an H2+ blueprint for next-generation robots, with Nvidia supplying training data and its Jetson AGX Thor T5000 chip.

Consumer certification is a major barrier

Despite impressive jumping abilities, the H2-X would find it nearly impossible to clear global and national consumer certification hurdles necessary to market as a personal bodyguard. Industrial or military versions remain possible.

What it means

Unitree unveiled the H2-X Kung Fu Legend Guardian, a humanoid robot capable of jumping from four-meter platforms and standing for approximately eight hours between charges, but consumer certification hurdles make a personal bodyguard version unlikely.
