Prince George’s County Police arrested a 20-year-old Hyattsville man in connection with the fatal shooting of a 13-year-old girl in Langley Park on Tuesday.
Charged with murder
Melendez-Umanzor is charged with the murder of Any Davalos of Silver Spring and attempted murder of a second teen girl.
Shooting details
On Tuesday at about 1:50 a.m., officers found two teens with gunshot wounds; Davalos died on scene.
Additional deaths
Later that day, 24-year-old Chrystopher Hagans was killed in a separate shooting at an apartment on Belle Haven Drive.
