Websol Secures Land

Websol Energy System has secured a 54-acre land parcel in West Bengal’s Falta Industrial Park for a solar manufacturing facility.

4GW Solar Capacity Expansion

The planned facility will add 4 gigawatts of solar cell manufacturing capacity and 4 gigawatts of solar panel manufacturing capacity in two phases of 2 gigawatts each.

Capacity Increase

This represents a major increase from the company’s current capacity of 1,200 megawatts for cells and 550 megawatts for modules.

Sanjana Khaitan, the company’s executive director, said the real focus now is execution, moving from land allotment to construction, commissioning and utilisation.
