New centre opens in Guntur
Narasaraopet MP Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu inaugurated the Lalitha Brain Stimulation Centre at Lalitha PVS Institute of Medical Sciences in Guntur on Sunday, October eleventh, twenty twenty-six.
rTMS therapy explained
The facility introduces repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation therapy, a non-invasive procedure using magnetic pulses to stimulate specific brain regions and modulate neural activity.
Who benefits from rTMS
rTMS may support rehabilitation for selected patients experiencing limb weakness, speech difficulties, spasticity and certain cognitive impairments, said Dr. P. Vijaya, Head of Department of Neurosciences.
Complements existing therapies
rTMS complements conventional rehabilitation rather than replacing physiotherapy, occupational therapy or speech therapy. The institute also provides VitalStim therapy for post-stroke swallowing difficulties.
“it complements conventional rehabilitation rather than replacing physiotherapy, occupational therapy or speech therapy”
Integrated stroke care approach
The institute integrates neurological assessment, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy to address individual recovery needs and improve functional outcomes for stroke survivors.
The key point
Lalitha PVS Institute of Medical Sciences in Guntur opened a Brain Stimulation Centre on October eleventh, twenty twenty-six, offering repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation therapy to improve recovery for stroke survivors and patients with neurological disorders.
