Congress launches restructuring drive
The Congress party has launched Sanghatana Srujana Abhiyana in Yadgir district of Karnataka to systematically restructure and strengthen its organisation from booth level to district committee.
Merit replaces political influence
Appointments will prioritise service to party, organisational capability and dedication to cadre work over political recommendations from influential figures, said District Congress Committee President Basareddy Anpur.
New structure at grassroots level
Congress aims to form a mandal for every ten gram panchayats. A fifteen-member committee will be established under a Congress president in every gram panchayat, ensuring fair representation for women and backward classes.
Observers to inspect across district
Campaign observer Pundaleekarao and co-observer Sreedevi will inspect organisational activities. Pundaleekarao will hold consultative meetings across Shahapur and Shorapur Assembly constituencies on October thirty.
The key point
Congress is restructuring its Yadgir district organisation from booth to district level, prioritising service and capability over political recommendations.
