One thousand five hundred police for elections

Superintendent of Police Ajitha Vejendla announced a plan to deploy one thousand five hundred police personnel for the upcoming local body elections in SPSR Nellore district.

Two hundred twenty staff at nomination centres

Around two hundred twenty police staff have been deployed to ensure security at forty-four nomination centres, including twenty within the city, thirteen in Atmakur and eleven in Buchireddypalem.

Stringent security for peaceful elections

The district police administration is fully prepared with stringent security arrangements to ensure that the upcoming local body elections are conducted in a peaceful, free, and fair manner.

Sensitive and highly sensitive areas have been identified, and additional forces will be deployed in these locations based on the specific situation to prevent untoward incidents.

Three hundred cordon operations this year

Since the beginning of this year, approximately three hundred cordon and search operations have been conducted across the district to control crime, curb anti-social activities and ensure public safety.

Eight hundred seventy-four under bind-over

As a preventive measure, bind-over proceedings have been initiated against eight hundred seventy-four individuals across the district to prevent untoward incidents during the election period.

Strict action against election code violations

Police will maintain strict surveillance on individuals with a history of election-related conflicts and warn of strict legal action against those engaged in intimidation, conflicts or illegal activities during elections.
