Ten-day workshop for women photographers
Chennai Photo Biennale Foundation and Kala Collective, with Chennai Drone Academy, invite women photographers aged eighteen and above from Tamil Nadu to apply for the Kanavu Aerial Workshop.
Programme combines drone training and photography
The first six days focus on drone flying and DGCA Remote Pilot Certification. The remaining four days cover aerial photography and videography, letting participants develop images and videos for portfolios.
Fee and funding options available
The workshop costs thirty thousand rupees, including training, hostel accommodation and DGCA certification. Participants can pay in two instalments. Fully funded places are available for those who cannot afford the fee.
Scholarship option for supporting others
Applicants may contribute sixty thousand rupees, covering their own participation and supporting a scholarship place for another woman photographer.
Preference for marginalised backgrounds
Preference will be given to previous Kanavu Fellowship participants, Kala Collective members, and applicants from low-income or marginalised backgrounds.
Applications close November thirtieth
