In brief

The Angels came back

Jaclyn Smith, Kate Jackson and Cheryl Ladd stood together on stage at the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards on September 14, 2026.
Fifty years of the show

The trio appeared to mark the 50th anniversary of Charlie's Angels, one of the defining American TV series of the late 1970s.
They had a job to do
Beyond the reunion, the three were there to hand out the night's biggest television prize: the Emmy for best drama series.
“It's an honor to be here tonight to present the Emmy for drama series.”
The Pitt takes it
The medical drama The Pitt won best drama series, the award the Angels presented at the Peacock Theater.
A missing fourth Angel
Jaclyn Smith stopped the presentation to name Farrah Fawcett, her friend and co-star, who died in 2009 and could not stand beside them.
“I would like to acknowledge someone not standing with us tonight, and that's my friend Farrah Fawcett.”
Charisma doesn't need a second season
Smith's line nodded to Fawcett leaving after year one, and argued that one season was enough to make her permanent.
“She's here with us in everyone's collective memory.”
The one thing
Fifty years after the show premiered, the surviving Angels used their Emmy stage time to keep Farrah Fawcett in the room.
