Greens propose AI nationalisation

Rachel Millward, Green Party deputy leader, suggested artificial intelligence technology should be brought into public ownership rather than controlled by what she called silicon valley proto-fascists.
“AI that serves communities, instead of the billionaires who buy our democracy.”
Greens announce water nationalisation
The Green Party announced it would immediately nationalise South East Water and Thames Water, bringing them back into public ownership at no cost to the taxpayer before Christmas.
“Forget compensation for shareholders and creditors, these are insolvent companies. It's time to take them back.”
Millward criticises PM's water plan
Millward told the Brighton conference that Prime Minister Andy Burnham's ten-year plan of gentle threats and vague notions of control is not enough to fix water company failures.
“(Andy) Burnham's 10-year plan of gentle threats and vague notions of control is not enough.”
Water crisis in Sussex

Millward highlighted that no major reservoir has been built in Britain since privatisation began thirty-five years ago, and residents in Sussex often drive to buy bottled water.
“Right here in Sussex, we too often find ourselves driving to pick up bottled water because nothing is coming out of our taps.”
Burnham backs gradual public control
Prime Minister Andy Burnham said new legislation would repeal Margaret Thatcher's ideological ban on public ownership of water companies, starting a decade-long process to strengthen public control.
Greens announce youth jobs guarantee
The Green Party also announced a new policy to provide a guaranteed job for every eighteen to twenty-four-year-old, lasting up to two years and starting within four months of leaving education.
What matters most
Green Party deputy leader Rachel Millward proposed nationalising AI technology to serve communities instead of billionaires, as the party announced plans to immediately nationalise water companies.
