Aina AI ring predicts what you need before you ask

A new wearable interface learns your patterns and surfaces the three things you need next with a flick of your finger.

In brief

A new wearable interface learns your patterns and surfaces the three things you need next with a flick of your finger. Aina unveiled an AI ring that predicts user needs and surfaces them on a display, aiming to replace phone unlocking for frequent approvals of proactive agent tasks. The problem with AI interfaces today

AI has transformed computing power, yet we still unlock phones and open apps for repetitive tasks. Devices know what we need but we keep repeating the same steps.

Aina emerges from stealth

After fifteen months as a Human-Computer Interaction lab, Aina unveiled a new AI interface designed from the ground up for the age of AI.

An AI ring with a screen

Aina is a ring with a display powered by a proprietary Context Aware Operating System. It learns your patterns, pulls context from your devices and predicts the three things you need next.

How you control it

Flick up and down to approve or reject suggestions. Hold the centre button to talk to your agents. The ring controls proactive agents, meetings, your computer, smart home devices, cabs and calls.

Shankar's vision for proactive AI

Founder Apoorv Shankar says AI will shift from following instructions to anticipating needs. Agents will learn patterns and turn proactive, requiring hundreds of daily approvals that phones cannot handle efficiently.

“Pulling out and unlocking a phone for each of these binary moments won't work.”

Aina Voice for quick interactions

Press and hold the centre button to talk to AI agents or take notes. The ring has a built-in speaker for conversations and phone calls, initiated by voice command.

Aina Cues learns your routine

The context-aware OS learns your app usage, location and calendar. It surfaces shortcuts just before you need them, like booking an Uber before you leave for work at nine.

Aina Remote adapts to your activity

The ring becomes a music remote when you play music, a meeting controller in calls, a TV remote while watching. It adapts to what you are doing right when you need it.

From lab to product launch

Apoorv Shankar, former VP of Hardware at Ultrahuman, founded Aina in May 2025. The company tested interfaces at CES 2026 and shipped Dune, a context-aware keypad, to hundreds of early adopters.

Pre-orders begin November fifth

Aina launches globally on November fifth. Super Early Bird pricing starts at USD three hundred ninety-nine dollars for limited units with global shipping. Shipping begins in January 2027. At launch it supports iOS and Mac.
