Musk's credit card advice
Elon Musk posted on X on Saturday that users could photograph their credit cards and drop them in chat for Grok Bot to find deals and order items online.
“To buy stuff, you can just take a picture of your credit card, drop it in the chat and Grok @Bot will scour the Internet for the best deal on the item you want and order it.”
SpaceX will cover mistakes
On Thursday, Musk promised that if Grok Bot made a purchase error or leaked a credit card, SpaceX would make users whole. He did not specify what the pledge covers.
“If Grok Bot makes a mistake with a purchase or leaks your card (never happened yet), SpaceX will make you whole.”
Community warns of security risks
X users added a community note warning that credit card photos contain personal information xAI explicitly tells users not to share, and that SpaceXSI can store user data in its cloud.
“xAI explicitly warns users not to include personal information in prompts, yet credit card photos may contain such information.”
Grok Bot orders Lego sets
Musk posted on Sunday that he asked Grok Bot to research fun Lego Star Wars kits for young kids and order them.
“I just asked Grok @Bot to research the most fun Lego Star Wars kits for young kids and order them. As easy as that.”
Grok Bot requires paid subscription
Grok Bot is not available on the free X plan. It starts with the thirty dollar a month Premium tier under The X Subscription, which SpaceXSI launched on October twelfth.
