AI will do more work, people must steer it

UiPath CEO Daniel Dines told customers at FUSION in Dubai on Monday that companies will delegate more work to AI. People will have to steer all this AI and answer for what it does.
“People will have to steer all this AI.”
Education must change for the AI age
Today's education system dates from the industrial revolution, about two hundred years ago, and was designed to produce disciplined factory workers who followed orders. This will not work in the world of AI.
“This is not going to work in the world of AI.”
Companies need people who understand systems
Companies will need fewer narrow specialists and more people who understand whole systems, Dines said.
Someone must bear the consequences of AI actions
Once a company gives AI autonomy to act, those actions have consequences. Even an email an AI agent sends to a customer can commit the company to something. Someone has to bear the consequences.
“So someone has to bear the consequences.”
Use AI to build software, not replace it
Dines said companies should not use AI for work that ordinary software can do reliably.Software can be tested and gives the same answer every time.
“If AI can do something, it doesn't mean you have to.”
