A voice changer that fits in your pocket
Voicemod's $99.90 Key Pocket sneaks real-time voice changing onto iPhones and Androids, around the rules that blocked it.
In brief
Voicemod's $99.90 Key Pocket sneaks real-time voice changing onto iPhones and Androids, around the rules that blocked it. Mobile privacy rules still block apps from rewriting your mic feed, so Voicemod built a piece of hardware to route around them. Originally reported by The Verge.
Voice changing goes mobile

Voicemod's new Key Pocket alters your voice live during multiplayer games, calls, and social streams on iOS and Android. Its 2024 predecessor only worked with consoles.
Ninety nine ninety, or bundle up
The Pocket sells standalone for $99.90. Thirty dollars more gets you the Pro license: lifetime access to the voice library, custom voice creation, and cloud sync with no subscription.
Why apps alone can't do this
Voicemod Clips landed on phones back in 2020 but could only process recorded clips. Mobile privacy rules stop any app from altering mic audio and handing it to another app.
“Privacy restrictions on mobile operating systems prevent apps from altering microphone audio and sending it to other apps.”
Hardware as the loophole

The Pocket is an external audio bridge. Your wired or Bluetooth mic feeds into it, the Voicemod app transforms the sound, and a short USB-C cable pipes it back to Fortnite, Roblox, or Discord.
Buttons, a dial, and 76,000 voices

Six programmable buttons swap voices or fire soundboard clips, plus a mute key and a glowing LED dial. Pro unlocks 200 Voicemod voices and more than 76,000 community ones.
Still works with consoles

Like the original Key, the Pocket doubles as a console voice changer, covering the Switch 2 and recent Meta Quest headsets. It magnets onto the back of phones and tablets.
